We receive your order via email notification, We
try to check the emails at least once daily Monday to Friday,
usually morning (Running the farm takes up a lot of our day so we
don't spend all day continuing to monitor the email). Once we receive your order we hand select
the items and give them a final health check before setting them
aside pending shipping. We send you a email confirming availability
of your selections with a quote / invoice including shipping and
payment options to your destination. We again contact you confirming
shipping 24 hours before ETA of the specimens, as most people are at
work during this time we usually send the final confirmation and
consignment number via SMS to your mobile phone.
When and how will
my order be shipped ?
We offer two options:
- Airport collect Australian Air Express, The consignment is
lodged on either a Friday or Monday evening and is ready for
collection early the following morning. there is no limit on the
size of the order and this is the most reliable way to receive
healthy animals.
- Due to demand we are trialing a to your door delivery. This
is only available for parcels under 5kg and during business
hours on a Tuesday the parcel will be left in a safe place if no
one is home.

Will my corals or fish survive the journey ?
We offer a 100% arrive alive guarantee. Normally
only mishandling or delay by the freight company will result in a
problem. In more than a decade of shipping we have only lost one
entire shipment that went missing over a long weekend. Occasionally
a bag may be punctured or a soft coral like xenia flipped.
Regardless of the cause, as long as you notify us within 24 hours of
arrival we will give you an option of either;
This is difficult for us as we offer WYSIWYG
selections (Photographs of the actual specimen). The specimen goes
to the first order received. If there is more than one order
received by us, often we have other
corals similar in stock but not listed on the site. When ever
possible we will offer an alternative photo for you to decide if it
suits your requirement.
We don't "shop" the pictures but corals will display differently
under certain lighting conditions, computer monitors etc. We are always happy to answer
any questions regarding lighting or take a few more snaps of
the specimen if your not sure.
Unlike most web sites we don't process your payment through a
third party agreement. Our preference is for you to pay on advice of
the quote we email you. You can use Electronic Funds Transfer "EFT"
or "internet banking" it is very safe and secure. Alternatively we are
happy to take a credit card payment over the phone, just mark the
appropriate field on the order form and we will give you a quick
call to receive the card details. It allows us to set aside and
ensure the items are available first and helps us keep the prices down.
Oceanarium always advocates care full inspection and quarantine
of all new acquisitions. Though risk can be assessed as very low on
many of our cultured products. It is best to talk to us about any
item of concern, we can give you a brief of its origin and any
treatments or quarantine procedures it may have already endured.
Do we export our products?
No we are dedicated to supplying a quality product for
the Australian domestic market.
